Hello,
Thank you so much for signing up to volunteer at the 2024 Spring Fling. Below is a general run-through of what to expect. More specific details regarding each station will be provided on the day of. Please let me know if you have any questions or conflicts. annie@theurbanfarm.org
Begins- 9:00 a.m.
Ends- The farm closes at 1:00 pm. It is very helpful if volunteers can stay until 1:30 to help break down
Morning shift- 8 am -10:45 a.m. (set up tables, tent if needed, and craft)
- Please wear your volunteer shirt if you have one.
- Please check in with Annie at the main gate
- If your station requires materials, they will be clearly labeled inside the main building.
- After collecting materials, Please proceed to your area.
o You should have one or two tablecloths, depending on the site.
o Craft materials to take
o The tables and chairs will be delivered to the area the day before
o Set up tent if one is provided
There should be two volunteers at each station at all times. The shift
change comes at 10:45 a.m.
Afternoon shift: 10:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (craft, take down tables, tent, etc.)
- Please wear your volunteer shirt if you have one.
- Please check in with Annie at the main gate
- The event is over at 1:00 p.m.—you may start packing up; let kids that may be there finish, then be sure to:
o Collect all craft materials
o Wipe and clean your tablecloth (s).
o Fold up tables or chairs and carry them to the designated areas.
o Take down a tent if one is provided, and leave at area
o Please check around your area and other areas for any trash and place
in a trash bin located close to you.
o Return all materials to the building and place them in your designated area. (they will be labeled)
